It's hard to choose, but I guess, based on my experience about the employees, I would go with Harveys. Would you recommend staying at one hotel throughout our stay and split it between the three Harrah's properties? I think we would prefer the property which is going to be friendlier to our toddler.įirst, I don't see any reason to switch hotels other than to add some variety to break up the week. Suggestion are welcome as to how to plan to 6-7 day vacation around lake Tahoe.

We even have the option to book Harrah's Reno. We can actually book 3 nights in each of the two hotels back-to-back. We are planning a 1 week vacation first week of May. Wonder which of the two would be better for us.

If you play table games, send me a PM and I will give you the names of a couple of pit bosses, one at each hotel. That was very helpful to know. The rooms are nicer in Harrah's but I have found the staff at Harvey's more friendly and more helpful. You didn't say if you have any kids, but the arcade is at Harvey's and that makes Harvey's a little more convenient for that function. Harrah's definitely has the better restaurants. The two are connected by a tunnel that runs under Highway 50. Harrah's is on the mountain side and Harvey's sort of blocks the view of the lake from Harrah's. Harvey's is actually across the street from Harrah's, on the lake side of highway 50. If you can get a room in the Lake Tower facing the lake in Harvey's, you'll have the best view from either hotel.
